Our Mission
The mission of the North Andover Public Schools is to cultivate a respectful community of engaged learners, insightful thinkers, and effective communicators. We do this by providing a vibrant learning community for students in grades preschool through 12. We are committed to ensuring that all of our students are provided an equal opportunity to an excellent education. Our hope is that the strong educational foundation our students receive will allow them to access numerous opportunities beyond our walls.

Memo to Staff and Community
Date: July 2, 2025
To: North Andover Public Schools Staff and Community
From: Pamela Lathrop, Superintendent
Subject: School Committee Reorganization and Leadership Update
At the June 12th School Committee meeting, the Committee held its annual reorganization. I would like to take this opportunity to thank former Chairperson Alissa Samz (Koenig) for her dedicated leadership over the past year. Ms. Samz stepped into the role at a time when our district was facing significant challenges, and she skillfully led the Committee through those difficult times with focus, determination, and compassion.
In addition to her leadership in creating and overseeing the school budget, Ms. Samz was deeply committed to advancing a strong curriculum and building a district where all students can excel. We are grateful for her thoughtful leadership and service to the North Andover community.
I am pleased to share the newly elected School Committee leadership:
- Chair: Mr. Joe Hicks
- Vice Chair: Ms. Kelly Cormier
- Clerk: Mr. David Brown
We look forward to working with Mr. Hicks, Ms. Cormier, and Mr. Brown as we continue to strengthen North Andover Public Schools.
Thank you for your continued support.

Dear NAPS Community
I’m pleased to share some exciting news about the leadership of Franklin Elementary School. Following a thorough and inclusive search process, we are proud to announce the appointment of Mrs. Nicole Radulski as the next Principal of Franklin School.
Dear North Andover Community,
It’s hard to believe it’s been only three days since our Annual Town Meeting. It was heartening to see such a large and engaged turnout—residents of all ages showing up to take part in meaningful decisions that shape our town and schools. Your presence affirmed something we all know: North Andover cares deeply about its children and their education.
Several important decisions were made Tuesday night that will have a direct impact on North Andover Public Schools (NAPS), and I’d like to take this opportunity to summarize those outcomes and share our next steps. I also want to address a social media post that misrepresents both my words and intentions, and I feel it’s important to clarify the facts for our community.
The North Andover Public School District is proposing an update to the NAPS Bullying Prevention and Intervention Plan. Per MA General Law, the public may comment on the proposed changes before final adoption by the NA School Committee.
The proposed plan may be reviewed here. Comments may be forwarded to the Superintendent's attention at superintendent@northandoverpublicschools.com
The deadline for comments is 4:00 pm Wednesday May 28, 2025
